Position Summary:
Robert Half Legal seeks a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our clients team in Boston. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive legal counsel and support on a wide range of labor and employment matters within a dynamic and prestigious academic environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in labor law, particularly NLRB practice, combined with strong litigation, employment law expertise, and a collaborative approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Labor Relations:
- Administer collective bargaining agreements, including handling grievances, grievance hearings, arbitrations, and related labor litigation.
- Provide proactive advice and counsel on all labor-related matters involving union and non-union employees.
- Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
- Employment Law:
- Manage employment matters involving faculty and staff, including advising on hiring, promotion, evaluation, discipline, terminations, severances, and reorganizations.
- Negotiate agreements related to employment matters.
- Legal Counsel and Litigation:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and creative solutions to resolve legal, procedural, or administrative issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal standards, labor contracts, and policies.
- Training and Education:
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis, written and oral advice on labor and employment law developments.
